The Problem With Child Centred Instruction



There's a widely held belief in our schools that, in order to make learning meaningful for young students, we must allow them to explore topics that are most interesting to them. In other words, students direct their own learning while teachers merely facilitate. Educator Marc Lapointe explains why child-centred instruction is an ineffective approach to teaching.
